Chairman of BPK RI and The Chairperson of ASEANSAI launched the ASEANSAI Secretariat Office

Following the appointment of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) as the ASEANSAI Secretariat for the period of 2018-2023 at the 4th ASEANSAI Summit held in Laos in November 2017, BPK establishes Office of ASEANSAI Secretariat at its Headquarters. Located at the 1st Floor of BPK Tower, Jakarta, the ASEANSAI Office represents BPK’s commitment to serve as ASEANSAI Secretariat for upcoming 6 years.
The ASEANSAI Secretariat Office was launched by Prof. Dr. Moermahadi Soerja Djanegara, Chairman of BPK and Dr. Viengthong Siphandon, Chairperson of ASEANSAI on 2 April 2018, witnessed by BPK Vice Chairman, BPK Board Members, Head of SAIs of ASEANSAI Members and its high level management.
In his speech, BPK’s Chairman said that BPK RI will facilitate the implementation of all ASEAN Supreme Audit Institution (ASEANSAI) activities along with stakeholders and donor agencies. BPK RI also supports ASEAN countries in enhancing the role of government apparatus to realize the prosperity of their people.
Further, he also appreciated all ASEANSAI members for entrusting BPK as the ASEANSAI secretariat. BPK considers this mandate as challenges and will do its best to fulfill the expectations of ASEANSAI members.
BPK’s Chairman also explained that the ASEANSAI Secretariat Office is a symbol of mutual respect from each Supreme Audit Institution (SAI), and as a leader in every country, continues to move to support development goals with different circumstances facing each country.
