INTOSAI, ASOSAI and ASEANSAI

Governing Board

ASOSAI Governing Board is the executive arm of the Organization consisting of 11 members. It executes and implements ASOSAI policies in accordance with the rules and regulations promulgated by the Assembly and may appoint committees for specific purposes and projects. The Board meets at least once a year.

At the 13th ASOSAI Assembly held on 13 February 2015 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Chairman of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) was appointed as one of the Governing Board's members for a three-year term (2015-2018). The other 10 members of the Board are the Heads of SAIs from: Malaysia (as Chairman); Korea (as Secretary General), Japan (as Capacity Development Administrator), India, Nepal, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam.

This is the 7th time for BPK to be part of this prestigious body of ASOSAI. Previously, BPK served for 3 terms in a row between 1979 and 1988, and then for 3 other terms, i.e. on 1991-1994, 1994-1999, as well as 2009-2012.

By being a member of the Governing Board, BPK hopes to contribute more to the development of public sector auditing in the Asian region and intends to promote the ASEAN Supreme Audit Institutions (ASEANSAI) to a broader scope of network in order for it to be more acknowledged.
