Working Group on IT Audit (WGITA)
The INTOSAI Working Group on IT Audit (WGITA) was created in 1989 by the 37 SAIs attending the 8th International Congress of Supreme Audit Institutions (INCOSAI) held in Berlin. Since then, WGITA supports and facilitates SAI members in sharing knowledge and experience through several IT Audit projects. WGITA is chaired by SAI of India and currently has 42 members.
The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) became a member of WGITA since July 2011. Since then, BPK has been actively contributing to several WGITA projects and attending its annual meetings. A few of the projects BPK has been involved in are: WGITA-IDI Handbook on IT Audit (its development in 2013 and its review currently in process); Development of ISSAI 5300 on Guidelines on IT Audits (chaired by SAI of India); Data Interface Standard for Accounting Software (chaired by SAI of China). In this working group, BPK also shares its experience in conducting e-audit.
