Background

The partnership between BPK and the ANAO originated from the tsunami of 2004 which requires BPK has the technical expertise to strengthen the performance of BPK and BPK staff as an institution. Collaboration between BPK - ANAO under Government Partnership Program I (GPF I) began in August 2006 after the announcement of the Australian aid to Indonesia worth 1 billion Australian dollars through Australia–Indonesia Partnership for Reconstruction and Development (AIPRD) program. The partnership has three dimensions: the relationship between the state, the relationship between institutions, and relationships between individuals. BPK-ANAO partnership objectives under the GPF I was to strengthen the capacity of BPK in three areas namely: performance audits, financial audits, and contract management in terms of procurement of audit jobs.

Objectives

BPK & ANAO under GPF II framework program (2011-2015) supports BPK Strategic Plan 2011-2015 in the following activities:

  1. Fixing audit management functions;
  2. Improving the quality of the provision of audit opinions and judgments.


Area of Cooperation

  1. Increase the capacity of the financial audit, especially in encouraging the adoption of risk-based auditing;
  2. Improve the performance audit capacity;
  3. Input for improvement of the audit guidelines / moduls;
  4. Benchmark for the implementation of financial and performance audit;
  5. Supporting the exchange of knowledge on the needs of inspection, including information technology support in audit.
