Background
Cooperation between BPK with the National Audit Office of The People's Republic of China (Chinese National Audit Office) began when BPK RI received a letter from the CNAO regarding an invitation to the Chairman of BPK in order to visit the CNAO office in Beijing, China to conduct cooperation in the field of government auditing.
Chairman of BPK visited CNAO office on May 25th, 2009 for the signing of the MoU on cooperation in public sector auditing between BPK and CNAO.
Objectives
To strengthen, improve and develop the cooperation framework and the efficiency of the interrelationships between BPK and CNAO in the field of auditing public sector on the basis of similarity and benefit of both SAIs.
Area of Cooperation
a. Audit Information Technology dan TI-based audit;
b. Quality Assurance/audit management;
c. Performance audit;
d. Monitoring of audit follow-up (CNAO has a follow-up monitoring system has been established);
e. Investigative Audit/Fraud Audit;
f. Environmental Audit, especially audit on waste management.
