Supreme Audit Court of the Islamic Republic of Iran
Background
Cooperation between BPK with the Supreme Audit Court of the Islamic Republic of Iran (SAC) was initiated on the basis of similarity of background as a petroleum producing countries, as well as based on the basis of homogeneity of the population, where the majority of the population are Muslims. Based on these similarities, BPK and SAC Iran feel the need to undertake bilateral cooperation between the two sides;
Relationship between BPK and SAC began when the 60th anniversary of BPK, where BPK invited the Chairman of SAC at the time, Dr. M. Reza Rahimi, to be a speaker in a seminar related to the commemoration of the anniversary;
This relationship continues to be blateral cooperative relations, with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between BPK with SAC Iran on June 16, 2008.
Objectives
To improve and develop the cooperation framework and the efficiency of mutual relations between BPK and SAC in the field of Public Sector Audit on the basis of similarity and benefit of both SAIs.
Area Cooperation
Initially, the area of cooperation was only in the field of auditing oil, but later extends into several areas such as oil and gas audit, environmental audit, electronic audit, and training management.
