IDI-ASOSAI with SAI Management and Key Stakeholders
The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) hosted the first meeting of the IDI-ASOSAI with SAI Management and Key Stakeholders on 9-11 December 2015 in Jakarta. This event was attended by 46 participants from 18 countries in Asian Region aiming to discuss and decide on the relevance and delivery of 8 programmes prepared by IDI for SAIs in ASOSAI. Those programmes are part of IDI strategic plan 2014 – 2018 resulted from the IDI Global Survey and detailed discussion and other key stakeholders.
The meeting was officially opened by the Vice President of Republic of Indonesia, Mr. M Jusuf Kalla, who also acted as the keynote speaker. On his speech, Mr. Kalla emphasized the importance of cooperation among audit institutions in Asian Region to improve audit quality in order to eradicate or overcome financial crimes, such as corruption.
During the three day meetings, facilitators from IDI presented each programmes and invited the responses from the participants. They could share their experiences and ideas on each programme presented to enrich their view and perspectives. Finally, each SAIs were encouraged to participate in the IDI programme which was conducted in the next years.
In addition to the three-day series of meetings, the delegates were invited to enjoy the beauty culinary and tourism of Indonesia packaged on a Gala Dinner organized by the Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia.
