As part of the implementation of the bilateral cooperation, the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) and the Supreme Audit Court of the Islamic Republic of Iran (SAC Iran) held a joint seminar in Tehran from October 25 to 29, 2015. The joint seminar entitled “The Fourth Joint Seminar between Supreme Audit Court of the Islamic Republic of Iran (SAC Iran) and the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK)” were attended by the Board Member VII of the BPK,Achsanul Qosasi, the Board Member III, Eddy Mulyadi Soepardi, and the Head of the Public Relations and International Cooperation Bureau, Yudi Ramdan Budiman. The SAC Iran were represented by the Deputy Senior President of the SAC Iran, Abdoullah Safaenasab and Qumars Davoudy, as well as its related senior auditors.

The joint seminar rises three main topics, namely the audit on oil and gas, the information technology-based audit, and the audit on sharia banks. The seminar is the actualization of the commitment of the BPK and the SAC Iran in improving the public sector audit capacity in respective institutions, which in turn will contribute to the good governance in Iran and Indonesia.

At the end of the seminar, both SAIs agreed to continue the bilateral cooperation, which was initiated with the signing of the joint action plan for the period of 2015-2018. The agreed cooperation topics among others are the audit on oil and gas, the audit on state-owned enterprises, the reporting to the parliament, the audit on information and technology, and the training management.
