​​​post_1425029480_Logo_BPK.jpgIn order to disseminate and improve public understanding on BPK audit findings, BPK shown three short movies on Wednesday (25/2) at the Studio XXI movie theatre in Papua.

The movie shows that were inspired by BPK audit findings was attended by BPK Board Member Bahrullah Akbar, Principal Auditor Sjafrudin Mosii, Head of the BPK RI Papua Province Office Dori Santosa, the Regional Secretary for the Papua Province, school headmasters, teachers and students representing the junior and senior high schools of the Papua Province.

The movie is about Hajj Services and Management in Indonesia (Uang Rujak Emak), the placement of Indonesian workers abroad (Kertas Si Omas), and the management of school operational assistance funds (Cerita Kami). The movies starred actors such as Ida Leman, Lukman Sardi, Happy Salma, Astri Nurdin and Asrul Dahlan.

These movies, which have already been shown in Jakarta, Medan, Bali, Surabaya, Makassar, and Banjarmasin, were produced to increase the public’s knowledge and understanding on BPK audit findings, using easily-understood language and a clear storyline. This was a part of a strategic public awareness campaign using movies as a means of disseminating information, education, and entertainment.

It is hoped that these films can increase public knowledge and understanding on the BPK’s role and contribution in improving the accountability of state financial management.
