​​Visit of BPK RI delegates to the Office of the Auditor General of Nepal in Kathmandu and the Office of the Auditor General of Pakistan in Islamabad on April 17 - 23, 2016​

On April 17 to 23, 2016,  the Chairman of the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK RI), Harry Azhar Azis along with other delegates Slamet Riyadi (Audit Director), Dwi Setiawan Susanto (Head of Training Center), Ria Anugriani (Head of Information Technology Bureau), Tri Widyantoro (Senior Auditor) and the representative from Public and International Relations Bureau, visited the Office of the Auditor General of Nepal (OAGN) in Kathmandu and the Office of the Auditor General of Pakistan (OAGP) in Islamabad. This visit was aimed to exchange knowledge and experience between the two SAIs in the topics of Audit on Disaster Management, Database Management, Training Development and External Auditor.

On the first day of the visit, BPK delegates held a meeting with the Auditor General of Nepal, Bhanu Prasad Acharya, to exchange knowledge and experience in the field of Audit on Disaster Management and Database Management. This first listed topic was associated with Nepal's experience in dealing with tremendous earthquake occurred on April 25, 2015. Chairman and BPK delegation also held a meeting with the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee of Nepal, Janardan Sharma, and shared experiences on the existence of the Committee for Public Accounting in assisting the delivery of audit results and recommendations to the parliamentary in both countries.

Discussion between BPRI delegates with OAG Nepal delegates

On 21 April 2016, BPK delegates visited Islamabad, Pakistan. The first session was the courtesy visit to the Finance Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, M. Ishaq Dar. The honorable minister supported closer cooperation between Indonesia and Pakistan through bilateral cooperation between BPK and the OAGP. This cooperation is intended to increase the capacity between the two institutions that will impact mutual benefits for Muslims and the world globally.

The session was continued with the meeting between BPK delegates to the Auditor General of Pakistan, Rana Assad Amin and other counterparts from OAGP. This session was designed as a forum to exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of Training Development and External Auditor. OAG Pakistan has had many experiences of being an external auditor at some international institutions and United Nations. BPK had the opportunity to gain knowledge as an input in the prime role of BPK as an external auditor for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in this year of 2016. Results of this meeting will be followed by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on bilateral cooperation in public sector auditing between BPK and OAGP in the near future time.

Another agenda in Pakistan was the meeting with the Controller General of Accounts and the Public Accounts Committee of Pakistan. These series visit were wrapped with the discussion between Chairman of BPK with some Indonesia students who studying Islamic Science in some universities in Islamabad.
