Following the BPK’s success in the international arena with its appointment as the external auditor of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for the period of 2016-2017, the BPK’s capability is being acknowledged internationally again with the appointment of the BPK’s Adviser of State and Regional-owned Enterprises and other Separated State/Regional Wealth, Novy Gregory Antonius Pelenkahu, as a mamber of the Common Forum of Technical Experts of the INTOSAI’s Professional Standards.
His success as a member of the Common Forum was achieved through a series of internal selection process in the BPK and the external selection process by the Professional Standards Committee (PSC). The final selection process was done by a Skype™ Conference on August 21, 2015. His membership in the INTOSAI Common Forum will be put into force as of November 1, 2015 and will end when tasks are accomplished.
The Common Forum of Technical Experts of the INTOSAI’s Professional Standards was formed to ensure the process uniformity of the International Standards of Supreme Audit Institutions (ISSAI) Framework. Specifically, the Common Forum is assigned to ensure that the ISSAI being drawn has been: (i) consistent and fulfilling the needs of INTOSAI members; (ii) drawn based on principles of the public sector audit; (iii) contributing to the assurance of efficiency, accountability, effectiveness and transparency of the public sector audit; and (iv) becoming the basic of the SAIs’ capacity development, including educational and sertification schemes.
