ASEANSAI Booth Exhibition in the XXII INCOSAI 2016

ASEANSAI establishment has been officially recognized through the status of ASEANSAI as the entity associated with ASEAN, listed in the category of “other stakeholders” by the Secretary-General of ASEAN on 21 February 2013. Within its Southeast Asia scope, ASEANSAI has also conducted a series of communication and visits to introduce itself.

Within broader scope, Asia, ASEANSAI got the chance to introduce itself to the 44th meeting of the ASOSAI Governing Board in Jaipur, India in February 2012. ASEANSAI presented its workplan and implementation at the 46th meeting of ASOSAI Governing Board in February 2013 in Manila, Philippines. ASEANSAI also has the opportunity to present itself at the INTOSAI CBC Annual Meeting in Lima Peru 9-11 September 2014. In February 2015, ASEANSAI has presented its activities at the 50th ASOSAI Governing Board Meeting in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

In 2016, the chance to show its existence at the INCOSAI XXII Meeting in Abu Dhabi has come for ASEANSAI. INCOSAI is the congress of INTOSAI members. It is held regulary in once every three years with the invited participants from United Nations, World Bank, and other international professional organizations. ASEANSAI was also invited to open the booth exhibition from 5-11 December. It was such a great opportunity to promote and introduce the profile, objective, programme and achievement of ASEANSAI in a broader scope of international communities.

All ASEANSAI members has contribute to the exhibition materials by providing photos, summary of activities, and other ASEANSAI products. The ASEANSAI Secretariat supported by German Cooperation had put up the slide show and video broadcast on the booth, displayed ASEANSAI publication materials (i.e. organization profile leaflet, brochure Strategic Plan, newsletter, ASEANSAI Book, ASEANSAI Guideline on Audit of Procurement and ASEANSAI Research Project Report on Audit of Procurement), provided impressive lighting displays and unique photo point that would invite people to the booth and invite INCOSAI participants to visit the booth.

SAI Philippines as the Project Leader for LTAPII and Chair of Training Committee and SAI Thailand have contributed to the booth by providing explanation to the visitor on ISSAI Implementation and trilateral project in ISSAI Implementation. While SAI Lao collaborated with SAI Indonesia contribute as the stand guide during the booth exhibition in the XXII INCOSAI.

It was expected that the booth could reiterate the awareness of ASEANSAI and its profiles among international communities, especially media coverage of ASEANSAI and strengthening communication within INTOSAI Community. Further, the booth could promote the ASEANSAI support’s on ISSAI Implementation Program to the international level.
