BPK Audits IACA's Financial Statement FY 2015

Amri Lewa, an auditor in BPK appointed as a member of Independent External Auditors for International Anti Corruption Academy (IACA), audited IACA's Financial Statements for Fiscal Year (FY) 2015. The audit was held on 13-14 July 2016 in Laxenburg, Austria, and was conducted along with two other members of Independent External Auditors: Mr. Asim Lodhi from Pakistan and Mr. Anton Kosyanenko from Russia.
The three auditors had accomplished the financial audit of IACA's 2015 financial statement in just two days. With this limited time, the audit was conducted using simplified audit procedures. Currently, the team is preparing the External Auditors' Report which needs to be submitted to the Dean of IACA 2 months after the financial statement was handed in at the latest.
On March 2015, Amri Lewa was given the mandate as member of IACA's Independent External Auditors together with two other auditors from Russia and Austria. The Board of Auditors appointed Lewa to conduct audits of IACA's financial statement for fiscal year 2014, 2015, and 2016 (3 years); the Russian auditor for fiscal year 2014 and 2015 (2 years); and the Austrian auditor for fiscal year 2014 (1 year).
For next year's audit of 2016 Financial Statement, the Independent External Auditors recommend IACA to extend the time given to the auditors to implement the financial audit for a more impactful result.
